WAKESHOP.BE Coach Card - Tip & trick list

On this page, you will find the description of the tricks you can find on your WAKESHOP.BE coach card. Below the levels fromm the coach card list, you can find much more wakeboard terms and trick description than the card has.
Rider: Sam De Haan

As mentioned on the card, the idea of its creation is to help new wakeboarders to know what to do next when they don't have enough knowledge of the sport yet. To be inspired on what to do next. Completing the card do not means you can do everything, it will only help you with the basic of wakeboarding and open you to an enormous beautiful world where creativity creates magic. So we recommended you to step out of the box and develop your own ideas! We are here for the fun after all, as long as you have a smile on your face it is what matter the most! We hope we can help you reach this level of fun by teaching you the basics of wakeboarding !   • Grab: Grab your board with you hand.
  • Pass: Passing the handle from one hand to another in your back.
  • FS: Frontside rotation ( description below )
  • BS: Backside description ( description below )
  • TS: Toeside, edging on your toes
  • HS: heelside, edging on your heels
  • TR: Transfer, jumping from something that boost your in the air to something else than water.
  • CAB: switch frontside rotation
  • Press: pressing your weight on a specific area of your board.
  • Switch: doing a trick with your uncomfortable foot in front.
Tiger prawn ( Level 1 )
  • Ollie: Pop from the water
  • Indy: Grab the board in the middle between your toes with your back hand.
  • Melon: Grab the the board in the middle between your heels with the front hand
  • Nose : Grab the nose of your board with the front hand
  • Tail: Grab the tail of your board with the back hand
  • Surface pass: do a frontside 360 on the water without a pop
  • Backboard ( Backside boardslide ): pop in the middle of your board ( 90 degrees ) on a slider when it is on side of your heels
  • FS 180: A frontside 180 is spin where the rider does a 180 degree rotation in the air. ( half full circle )
  • BS 50 50: Pop on a slider without spinning when it is on the side of your heels
  • FS 50 50 : Pop on a slider without spinning when it is on the side of your toes
King Crab ( Level 2 )
  • Frontboard ( frontside boardslide ): pop in the middle of your board ( 90 degrees ) on a slider when it is on side of your toes
  • BS 180: A backside 180 is spin where the rider does a 180 degree rotation in the air. ( half full circle )
  • BS 180 off a slider: When 50 50 on a slider, do a BS 180 just before landing.
  • FS Lipslide: Bring your tail over the slider and slide the middle of the board when the slider is in front of you.
  • BS Lipslide: Bring your tail over the slider and slide the middle of the board when the slider is behind you.
  • 5 - 0: FS or BS, it is like a 50 50 except you press on the tail of your board, lift your nose.
  • Nose press: FS or BS, it is like a 50 50 except you press on the nose of your board, lift your tail.
  • FS 360: A frontside 360 is spin where the rider does a 360 degree rotation while in the air. ( full circle )
  • TS FS 360: a FS 360 from a kicker where you reach by edging on your toes.
Bluefin Tuna ( Level 3 )
  • BS transfer: edging heelside before doing a transfer.
  • TS transfer: edging toeside before doing a transfer.
  • HS BS 360: edging heelside to the kicker and spin a BS 360.
  • TS BS 360: edging toeside to the kicker and spin a BS 360.
  • FS 360 off a slider: when 50-50 on a slider, spin a FS 360 after exiting the slider.
  • Half Cab: edging switch heelside to a kicker and do back backroll + a FS 180.
  • Tantrum: edging heelside to a kicker and do a backflip. ( as you do on a trampoline )
  • TS FS 360: edging toeside to a kicker and do a FS 360
Manta rey ( Level 4 )
  • TR HS FS 180: edging heelside before doing a transfer FS 180.
  • TR HS BS 180: edging heelside before doing a transfer BS 180.
  • TR TS FS 180: edging toeside before doing a transfer FS 180.
  • TR TS BS 180: edging toeside before doing a transfer BS 180.
  • Tantrum to blind: Do a Tantrum with an extra BS 180.
  • Mobes: Do any kind of mobes.

The full wakeboard trick list is at work in progress! Coming very soon! Spins Spins are when a rider and board perform a rotation in the air. Frontside: A spin where the rider rotates with the front of their body towards the pull first. Backside: A spin where the rider rotates with the back of their body towards the pull first. Many times mistakenly referred to as blindside spins. Baller: This is a term used for when a rider does the handle pass of their spin by passing the handle between their legs.
  • Frontside 180: A frontside 180 is spin where the rider does a 180 degree rotation in the air. ( half full circle )
  • Frontside 360: A frontside 360 is spin where the rider does a 360 degree rotation while in the air. ( full circle )
  • Frontside 540: A frontside 540 is spin where the rider does a 540 degree rotation while in the air. ( 1,5 circle )
  • add 180 to every extra 180 degrees you do ( 720 - 900 - 1080 - ... ) >
  • Backside 180: A backside 180 is spin where the rider does a 180 degree rotation in the air. ( half full circle )
  • Backside 360: A backside 360 is spin where the rider does a 360 degree rotation while in the air. ( full circle )
  • Backside 540: A backside 540 is spin where the rider does a 540 degree rotation while in the air. ( 1,5 circle )
  • add 180 to every extra 180 degrees you do ( 720 - 900 - 1080 - ... )
  • 009: The rider does a toeside Osmosis 540 followed by an Overhead (Ole) 360.
  • Surface Tricks: Surface tricks are performed while the board is on the surface of the water.
  • Butterslide: Rider turns the board 90 degrees and slide on the water with nose or tail.
  • No-Hander: Rider puts handle between knees, then lets go with both hands. .
  • Powerslide: Board is turned 90 degrees in the flats.
  • Surface 180: A 180 degree turn on the surface of the water.
  • Surface 360: A 360 degree turn on the surface of the water.
  • Tumble Turn: Rider lays back on water, board is taken out of water and above the head, body is spun around backside and the rider stands back up onto feet.
