The Slingshot RPX V1 2021 kite is the evolution of the legendary Slingshot RPM. The first version of the RPX is super versatile: freeride, freestyle, big air and kiteloops! The open C design provides a direct kite with a nice feedback, which gives you the confidence to push your limits with the Slingshot RPX V1.

Compared to the RPM, the Slingshot RPX V1 has had almost countless upgrades to make the kite even more versatile and user-friendly. All upgrades are clearly explained by Slingshot in the video at the bottom of the page. We will explain the most important upgrades of the Slingshot RPX here.

By a total change of the RPM to the RPX, Slingshot has managed to save 10% weight. But that is not everything. The trailing edge of the RPX V1 has been completely renewed. By redesigning the trailing edge, the canopy is tighter, the RPX has less turbulence, resistance and fluttering canopy. This ensures that the RPX V1 from Slingshot steers faster and shorter for a better freeride experience.
The bridle lines on the Slingshot RPX have been made 25% thinner. The result of this is that the lines have less resistance with the air, so that the RPX V1 flies faster and you can easily catch you after a sick kiteloop. In addition, the construction has been thoroughly upgraded. The number of panels in the canopy has been reduced from 108 to 20. This has significantly improved the airflow, giving the overall performance of the RPX V1 kite a big boost.
The Slingshot RPX V1 2021 kite now has the option to attach the lines to the kite in different ways. A small change has a big consequence. This way you can perfectly adjust the RPX V1 for every session. The latest change is the enlargement of the one-pump hoses, so you can inflate the Slingshot RPX V1 even faster and you will be the first on the water!

A number of things have also remained unchanged. For example, the Slingshot RPX V1 kite is made of the strongest 4 x 4 ripstop canopy on the market. And just like on the other Slingshot kites, the RPX V1 has an integrated split strut which ensures a more stable, stronger and more efficient canopy.
